Software Desktop atau Webbase?

Faktor yang sangat menentukan untuk memilih software berbasis desktop atau webbase adalah:

1. Jarak pengakses ke pusat layanan
2. Jumlah Pengakses

Jenis software webbase lebih tepat digunakan jika pengakses jauh, tersebar dan banyak.

Beberapa keuntungan memilih webbase:
1. Tidak perlu setup/instalasi software di client/pengguna. Praktis.
2. Kerusakan mesin/komputer client sama sekali tidak merusak software.
3. Dapat diakses dari banyak jenis mesin dan sistem operasi berbeda, seperti: Linux, Unix, Windows, Mac, dll atau perangkat2 non PC seperti handphone.
4. Kemudahan distribusi software, artinya 1 software dapat dipake berjama’ah.
